I am Kristina, I am 20 years old, and I run this lovely home of fluff. I began showing in 2004 with my local middle school's FFA chapter rabbit. From there, I received many different rabbits until I got my first Wooly, and then the obsession began. I am currently in College, and after I get my AA, I want to begin classes to become a Veterinary Technician. I keep this wonderful hobby going with the help of my Husband and parents.

We are a small rabbitry in Bradenton, located off the west coast of Florida. We currently have 20 holes. I like to keep it this small. It causes us to be more selective, and it's easier to have less rabbits when it comes to being in the Military in the near future. We have many different breeds: Mini Rex, Jersey Wooly, Holland Lop, Fuzzy Lop, Holland/Fuzzy Lop mix, and Netherland Dwarf. We currently only show Jerseys. We raise colors in 4 groups.: Self, Shaded, Agouti, and Tan. Our main focus is on Agoutis, with a small focus on Shaded and Tan.

We feed Purina Show, the blue bag, as well as Coastal Hay, and an assortment of fruits and veggies a few times a month.

Our groups/varieties are:

Agouti: Opal

Self: Chocolate, Black, Lilac, REW

Shaded: Smoke Pearl, Tortoise Shell

Tan: Black Silver Marten, Black Otter

Any rabbit sold from my rabbitry always has a home back here if a problem arises as long as it is good health. Please come to me before you give it to a shelter. I will never sell a rabbit without the buyers full commitment, and confidence in their purchase. All show rabbits are free of white toe nails, butting teeth, mismatched toenails, missing any body parts, disease (that is apparent), or any other DQ's that is noticeable at time of sale. I give a life time guarantee of helpful tips if you need any help. Anything you would like to know about the rabbit, I will tell you. Any pictures you would like of the rabbit (even teeth, I've done it before), I will take and e-mail it to you as soon as I can.

This is an expansion of a post in my Blog. I want to add some more, and change the ones I made that I think I can do without. Some of these are easy, and I want to challenge myself a little more. I'll cross out the goals as I complete them. Notes in italics are my current thoughts on the goal.

  1.  Get a net book (or a cheap keyboard for my PC), and purchase Evan's Software. I have a Mac, so I have to make my pedigrees the long way digitally. I want Evan's so bad. Right now I am making custom pedigrees for myself, and I really like them. I think Evans will be good, but no need to rush it.
  2. Grand Champion a rabbit. Oh my gosh I am cursed! I think this is a generally achievable goal. I am waiting on registration papers for a rabbit, and after that I have everything I need to GC him. Unfortunately, every time I've registered a rabbit, they passed away. I hope this goes away with the year of the rabbit!  Rocket/Braden received his papers =). It's official!!
  3. Babies! I wont even bother explaining my problems. I just want a live litter that has the potential to live for years to come. 2 litters born the first week of January. This one was too easy.
  4. Place more rabbits at ARBA Convention this year. I placed 2 out of the 4 I brought last year. I really want to place more than just those 2, and be more selective with which rabbits I bring.
  5. Bring homegrown Jerseys to Convention
  6. Figure out FOR SURE what we are doing with the rabbits in the future. My husband is working towards joining the Air Force, and that means that my rabbitry is going to have to be a migrating one. A permanent structure isn't an option, and we need to figure out a solution.
  7. Build new cages to replace the older ones I want to utilize the "gutter system" style of rabbit cages, and I plan on building some this year so we can use them when I move.
  8. Put a leg on a home grown rabbit This is important for every breeder, and I think I can do this one.
